- Joao Cancelo:
It was only this summer that Cancelo joined Juventus and it is his fate that he has been drawn to face his former club Valencia in the Champions league. Cancelo spent three seasons with the Spanish club but he will be hoping to beat his former side to have a successful time in the Champions league.
- Philippe Coutinho:
The Brazilian superstar joined Barcelona from Liverpool last January after a long awaited move to the Catalan club. The former Liverpool man had joined the Reds from Inter Milan where he had joined from the age of 16. He has only got better from his time at Inter and it will be an emotional moment for him to face his former side.
- Radamel Falcao:
Falcao’s identity as a lethal striker came from his time at Atletico Madrid. It was from Porto that he joined Atletico to turn into a beast of a striker. Now at Monaco, the Colombian striker will be positively looking forward to this tie and hoping to have a good match against Diego Simeone’s men.
- Thomas Lemar:
This summer saw Thomas Lemar sign for Atletico Madrid. The Frenchman was linked with a move away from Monaco from quite some time and it was only this summer that a move materialized. It will be interesting to see how Lemar performs against his former club in both the fixtures this season.
- Edinson Cavani:
Napoli was where Cavani built the foundations of his successful club career. He was an absolutely dangerous striker with the Italian club having scored more than 100 goals for them which eventually earned him a move to PSG. At PSG, Cavani has carried on with his good form and there is no doubt that Napoli will hope the Uruguayan is not at his brutal best against them.
- Paul Pogba:
Pogba joined Juventus at a young age seeking more game time than what he got at Manchester United after coming through their academy. Pogba spent four years with the Old Lady, developing into a monster of a midfielder. It was only natural that the top clubs went after him but it was United where he returned back to complete some unfinished business. That being said, Pogba will be facing his former club in the Champions league this season having been drawn into the same group.
- Cristiano Ronaldo:
The Portuguese superstar is one of the biggest names in football and it is safe to say that Manchester United had a massive hand in helping him achieve that. Signed from Sporting Lisbon, Ronaldo was turned into a developing player to a world class winger at United under Sir Alex Ferguson. He eventually left for Real Madrid and has now joined Juventus. Unfortunately, he will be facing his former side once again and there is no doubt it is going to be very emotional for both Cristiano and the Manchester United fans.
