- Zlatan Ibrahimovic:
It was unfortunate that Zlatan moved to Barcelona after which Inter Milan managed by Jose Mourinho won the treble with the Italian side. But nevertheless, Zlatan was a beast under Mourinho and it was overwhelming how the two bonded. Even at Manchester United, the two had a great time and it has to be said that Zlatan always played well under Jose irrespective of the club and the playing style.
- Frank Lampard:
Lampard in a way defines Mourinho’s success at Chelsea. The Englishman wasn’t a well-known figure until he played under the Portuguese. Lampard became one of the best midfielders England and Chelsea ever had under the guidance of Mourinho and it is good to know that the Chelsea legend has always been all praise for Jose till date.
- John Terry:
The Englishman has been involved in a lot of controversies but there is no denial that Terry was one of the best defenders England and Chelsea had. He was the Captain for Jose Mourinho at Chelsea and it is safe to say that Jose’s influence helped Terry take his game to a different and better level as the duo still carry an amazing rapport.
- Nemanja Matic:
Matic is one of those players who has had the opportunity to work more than once with Mourinho at different clubs. Matic was a monster at Chelsea with his reading and defensive abilities as a defensive midfielder. He turned out to be one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier league under Jose Mourinho and has been doing more or less a similar work at Manchester United for Jose recently.
- Javier Zanetti:
When Mourinho won the treble with Inter Milan, their captain Zanetti was 37 years old and the Inter legend was all praise for Mourinho and his detail analysis which were the key to their success. Both Zanetti and Mourinho used all their experience to bring a huge amount of success to Inter and that is always be remembered in the history.
- Mesut Ozil:
It is safe to say that we haven’t seen the same Ozil at Arsenal as we did at Real Madrid. At Madrid, Ozil flawlessly created clear cut chances for the Los Blancos. It was under Jose Mourinho that the German earned the tag of being one of the best playmakers in the game but it didn’t remain the same as soon as he left Spain.
- Cristiano Ronaldo:
Ronaldo has been consistently effective in front of the goal at least from the last decade but it is necessary to mention that one of his best times at Real Madrid came under Jose Mourinho. Both the Portuguese player and manager connected well then and as much as things were going well, it didn’t remain the same by the time Mourinho left the Los Blancos.
- Wesley Sneijder:
The Dutchman has been a superb act in the midfield but it was at Inter Milan under Jose Mourinho that we saw him his fullest potential. Sneijder was very instrumental in helping Inter win the treble and it is worth noting that the Dutchman saw decline in his form ever since Mourinho left the club.
- Ricardo Carvalho:
Carvalho had a career changing spell at Chelsea when he was signed by Jose Mourinho. Jose built a fantastic team at Chelsea which saw a lot of success in Jose’s first spell with the Blues. Carvalho was an important part of it and it was Jose’s guidance that made Carvalho the center back he was as the Portuguese played for Jose at Porto, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
- Didier Drogba:
The Ivory Coast striker joined Chelsea from Marseille at the time when Jose Mourinho was trying to build a team for the Blues for years to come. It was impressive how Jose saw a goal machine in Drogba and it panned out exactly for him. Drogba was a beast in front of the goal at Chelsea and he wasn’t reluctant to join them when Jose joined them for a second spell. Drogba will be remembered in the history books of Chelsea because of the belief shown in him by Jose.
