Diego Costa completes his transfer to Atletico Madrid
Chelsea has confirmed the departure of striker Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid. Although the news has been confirmed, the actual transfer will take place in the January transfer window on account of Atletico’s ban. Reports suggest that Atletico Madrid have dished out more than 50 million pounds. It looks like Costa has come back home at last. At least Diego Costa seemed to be very happy with the transfer. Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte was satisfied with the transfer, and he already has a premium replacement for the Spanish forward in Alvaro Morata. So far Morata has very much proved successful with six goals from six appearances. Alvaro Morata was out of favour in Zidane’s Real Madrid but has finally found success in the Premier League. Diego Costa last played a match during Spain’s world cup qualifiers in June. Before Chelsea, Costa spent his time in Atletico Madrid, and now he is back again after a good run with the Premier League champions.
