1. His complaints with the Barcelona board
It was very clear that the Brazilian was not at all happy with the Barcelona board courtesy his comments after joining Paris Saint Germain. It was not that Neymar recently planned a move away and it was all impromptu of him joining the French club. His agent Jorge Mendes met PSG’s President Nasser el Khelaifi in Ibiza last year, and a future move was imminent on the cards since then. It can happen that Neymar’s anger and disappointment towards Barcelona’s board could instigate a move to Real Madrid.
2. Brazilians and Real Madrid have a special bond
Real Madrid is surely one of the greatest clubs ever in the history of football and one of the best in the world right now. In fact, this status has been maintained by them for a long duration as we have seen some of the best players they join them solely because of their big status. Savio, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Robinho, Kaka are some of the great Brazilian footballers who have signed for the Los Blancos in the past. Currently, Marcelo and Casemiro play for Madrid, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Madrid tempt Neymar to play for them.
3. To become Cristiano Ronaldo’s successor
It is imminent that Madrid will require someone to fill into Ronaldo’s shoes when he leaves or retires, and we have learnt that Gareth Bale is most likely not going to be that guy. Neymar has always admired Ronaldo and not been involved in any controversy or spat. He was all praises for the Portuguese when Ronaldo won the best player award recently at The Best event, and it certainly wouldn’t be an issue for him to play besides one of the greatest Madrid players ever.
4. The Real Madrid captain wants him at the club
In his most recent interview with the Spanish media, Sergio Ramos unsettled and surprised many by bluntly stating his wishes. Ramos stated that he would like the best players in the world to come and play with him at Madrid and Neymar is one of them and if it is in his hands, he would right away bring the Brazilian to the club in January itself. This has sparked a lot of fuel to the rumours linking Neymar to Madrid, but it surely boosts Neymar’s desires to join Madrid if there are any.
5. Neymar’s admiration of Zinedine Zidane
Neymar grew up supporting Real Madrid, and it must be his dream to play for them, but things panned out different for him to date. He’s a huge admirer of Zidane as a player, and surely as a manager, Zidane has done enough to impress Neymar. The Brazilian would any day love to play under a manager of his liking, and in spite of all the other attracting points, Zidane is still the biggest reason why Neymar would opt to join Madrid in the future.
